In the heart of Salento, just ten minutes from the sea, the Villa opens its gates with a sense of quiet nobility. Dating back to the 17th century, this residence was once the rural retreat of the Tafuri family, one of the region’s oldest noble lineages. You enter through a scenic loggia supported by stone columns, where the family’s coat of arms is still proudly frescoed—a reminder that this was not just a country house, but a piece of Salento’s living history.
Inside, the Villa feels both grand and intimate. Vaulted salons flow into airy living spaces, where centuries-old architecture meets the ease of modern life. Sunlight dances on star-shaped ceilings, original floors hold their patina of time, and yet everything is imbued with a lightness that makes you feel at home from the moment you step in.
Bedrooms
The villa sleeps up to 10 guests in five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Rooms are luminous, simple yet elegant, with vaulted ceilings and windows that frame the garden or the parkland beyond. Every bedroom feels individual — a mix of historical details, contemporary pieces, and that particular softness of southern light.
Outdoor Area
At the rear, a centuries-old walnut tree casts its shade over the terrace, the perfect setting for long lunches and late dinners. At the front, more than two hectares of enclosed parkland are filled with olive trees, citrus, and Mediterranean herbs. A private pool, tucked into this quiet landscape, offers a refreshing retreat through the long Salento summer.

The Villa lies just outside the baroque town of Nardò, with its winding streets, piazzas, and lively cafés. From here, you are within easy reach of Lecce, Gallipoli, and the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian coast.
