Spread out over three floors with an impressive courtyard, the five-meter-high ceilings, large windows, ancient frescoes, curated design, and artistic interventions are renovated in a style that draws inspiration from the artists that they host here, all to contribute to an experience of silence and contemplation. During your stay you’ll have access to the historic courtyard and lounge – and a seasonal breakfast from the café is included. Activities, events, food, drinks, and events offered, such as yoga and concerts are available for you.

Artist Residence

This is an Artist & Design Residency with the aim to reimagine a new future for the city of Florence and the qualities of life within. Break free from your daily routine and explore Florence from a different perspective.

Located in a historic Palazzo, accommodating travelers and creatives alike to stay, create, and collect. There are a variety of loft apartments featuring artworks and high-end design, right in the heart of the city. A couple of steps from the Duomo,  in the Sant’Ambrogio neighborhood. Rich for its traditional artisanal shops, restaurants, and local markets. Your home away from home.

The Lofts

Loft 1: Ceiling tall windows that lead up to a soothing fresco wall, bringing you back in time. Contemporary art surrounds the living environments making it feel like a true artist’s studio. The ideal space for a weekend getaway.

Loft 8: Double suite perfect as a home away from home. This suite is the only suite that has a bathtub and separate office space. Located on the top floor this suite offers views of Piazzale Michelangelo’s hills.

Loft 10: The Master Suite of the Palazzo. Featuring a master bedroom, private dining, and lounge, all surrounded by breathtaking frescos that take you back to the older years of the Palace.

The apartment:

Located in a 1422 Renaissance Palazzo, the apartment is the home of architect Marina Montresor. It is located on the piano nobile and features a full-scale kitchen, studio space, lounge room, and library. The apartment features large windows and breathtaking frescoes adorning the roof and walls.

In 1573 the space accommodated a group of humanists who went under the name Camerata Bardi. Their discussions and experiments centered around music and culminated in the creation of melodramma hence contributing to the conception of the opera.

The apartment is available for short-term stays and longer creative residencies. Guests will have access to lounge, breakfasts, and services in the hotel throughout their stay. 

Are the spaces available to rent for events or photoshoots?

Yes. They rent out our different spaces for photoshoots, private events, weddings, shows, conferences, and other events. Please send your requests to info@plinius.homes
Please note, that using the rooms or spaces for commercial photoshoots if not agreed upon is strictly not allowed. Normal venue hire rates will apply on top of the room rate if you do shoot in the rooms.
