Perfect Italian Weekend - Le Marche
I begin by introducing Matteo and me, both born and grew up in the countryside of Le Marche region, surrounded by nature and medieval streets that intertwine within the historic villages. We have always believed in the richness of our land, the unspilt countryside that stands on the horizon, and the breathtaking views of the Sibillini and the Adriatic Sea. Le Marche can give different contexts, but always unique, within a few kilometers, and within an hour you can move from north to south or from east to west enjoying wonderful landscapes. This peculiarity makes it a unique region.
After studying languages, economics, and management we decided to invest in our territory, developing a project of Home Management, “Lari close to You” in which we take care of villas and luxury guest houses helping the owners, who live abroad, with the management of their homes as well as the hospitality. Our passion for architecture, design, and lifestyle helps to identify the level of standard to be reached and maintain this high level. Matteo is the creative part, working also in the fashion and luxury goods sector, while Eleonora is the Manager of the villas, managing every aspect and ensuring a perfect stay for guests, organizing experiences and events.
Saturday
Saturday starts with a half-hour walk in the countryside around our house, then I prepare to enjoy a tasty breakfast at Palazzo Rainaldi, in the Borgo of Treia. To reach the village center, you can wander through medieval streets and visit the historic building, now a bar, which overlooks the countryside and offers stunning views of the sea on sunny days. I enjoy a pan au chocolate and cappuccino on the terrace of the palace, then I go to check the villas.
The villas are located in the heart of the countryside, in panoramic locations and my job is to supervise the property surrounded by these wonderful views and prepare the house so that everything is ready to welcome guests. Saturday is the day for the departure and arrival of new guests. Before lunch, on the way home, I go to the fruit and vegetable shop to buy fresh seasonal products and to the Vissani bakery to buy cereal bread. My favorite bread! Once at home, I prepare the lunch: pasta with fresh tomato and basil and salad. In the evening we like discovering new restaurants in the area. We suggest you try the starred restaurant Retroscena in Porto San Giorgio, Restaurant Misidia in Ripe San Ginnasio, or Osteria Ime in Tolentino.
Sunday
Sunday is normally dedicated to hiking on the Sibillini or e-bike tours through the countryside, where it is easy to find paths between tree-lined avenues, medieval towers scattered in the territory, and heights with endless views. These activities are possible at any time of the year, from autumn to summer, both in the mountains and on the coast. After a morning in the middle of nature, we enjoy lunch at our favorite restaurant in the heart of the historic center of Macerata, “Signore te ne ringrazi”. After a walk in the village, surrounded by museums, historical buildings, and theaters we head towards the coast for an aperitif and then dinner on the seafront. Portonovo is one of the most charming and romantic places in Le Marche, on the slopes of Monte Conero where there are excellent restaurants, even starred. After an aperitif at Il Clandestino, we enjoy a wonderful dinner Da Emilia.
