The Surroundings
THE LANGHE IS NOT TO BE VISITED BUT TO BE TASTED
This region has our heart for the food and amazing wines. Not only are there plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants in the area (Home to 13 one-star, 2 two-star, and 1 3-star Michelin restaurant), but culinary delights unfold in amazing trattorias, bars, and markets too. It's truly a heaven for foodies and the place where the ‘slow food’ movement started. Not to mention the Barolo's, Barbaresco's, and the famous white truffles.
The area, UNESCO Heritage since 2014, is known for its rolling hills, that is breathtaking in every season. Therefore it is also a popular destination for hikers and cyclists.
Another cool fact is: that it is both an hour's drive to the Sestriere ski piste and one one-hour drive to the Ligurian seaside.
But the Langhe is more: it's a living canvas of history, culture, and vibrant characters. From revered writers like Cesare Pavese and Beppe Fenoglio to visionary entrepreneurs like Michele Ferrero, the Langhe nurtures minds that shape the world. Thinkers like Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food and the University of Gastronomic Sciences, champion the work of farmers and the preservation of biodiversity.
We invite you to rediscover simplicity as a form of respect, thrift, and waste reduction.
Because a simpler life is not only desirable but also indispensable for our planet. ~ Kasia
