Perfect Italian Weekend | Lago di Como
we are finishing a shooting with some new pictures of the whole hotel so once they are ready I will send you some of them!
Regarding the activities this would be ideally my perfect day on the lake to relax and enjoy the peace of the lake:
Rent a Vespa Scooter to feel like a real local and drive up north from Cà Spiga keeping the right hand side so you will not miss the small villages of the lake. Quick stop in Brienno which is one of the most authentic spots of the lake with the beautiful stoned arches and houses by the lake.
Then I would drive furhter to Colonno and park my Vespa there and then walk the "greenway of lake Como", a beautiful path that gives you the chance to see the best spots of the lake.
I would then stop half way in Lenno and catch the shuttle boat of the central area of the lake and hop on and off in all the beautiful villages like Bellagio and Varenna. Then will hop off again in Tremezzo and treat myself with a nice drink at Gran Hotel Tremezzo by the floating pool. For lunch I would stop at Russall Hotel (above the town of Tremezzo), I love the vintage vibe and the genuine food there.
After this a visit at the botanical garden of Villa Carlotta is always the best thing to do.
I would then catch a bus back to Colonno to take the Vespa and drive back to Laglio and would stop for a nice aperitivo at Da Luciano ;)
