N° 096 | Tuscan Hill Escape
Set in the heart of a historic wine estate in the Val d’Orcia, this Tuscan borgo sits among rolling vineyards and olive groves, offering a true taste of the region. Its story stretches back centuries, with careful restorations blending contemporary design with the timeless charm of Tuscany. This is a place where guests can immerse themselves in the countryside, enjoy local wines, and experience the rhythm of Italian life, all while feeling perfectly at home.
The Space
Structured around a central courtyard, the property is ideal for large groups or family reunions. Multiple wings and living areas allow for both shared moments and private retreats. From spacious lounges to sun-drenched patios, each corner invites relaxation and connection, whether lounging with a book, enjoying a cocktail, or taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
The Rooms
The villa can host up to 18 guests in 9 bedrooms. The main villa is divided into a North and South wing. The North wing features four bedrooms and three bathrooms on the first floor, with a large living room, dining area, and modern kitchen below. Picture windows open onto the garden, framing views of the Val d’Orcia, while a covered patio is perfect for al fresco dining.
The South wing offers a distinctly Tuscan atmosphere with three to four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a generous living room with a wood-burning fireplace, and a traditional Tuscan kitchen. A loft-style master bedroom, double bedroom, and cozy living area complete the charm of the guest house, which overlooks the olive groves and the central pool.
Across the property, bedrooms are airy and comfortable, with king- and queen-size beds, air-conditioning where needed, and ensuite or adjacent bathrooms. Children’s bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged, ensuring everyone enjoys both privacy and connection.
Please note: there are two external staircases connecting the upper floor to the ground floor. There is no internal staircase, so guests must use the covered outdoor staircases to move between levels.
Outdoor Area
The borgo’s gardens are a haven for relaxation. A central swimming pool offers sweeping views of the valley and olive groves, while terraces, pergolas, and shaded patios provide the perfect spots for cocktails, reading, or sunset dinners. Outdoor games, including a bocce court, table tennis and basketball nets, add lighthearted fun to the serene surroundings. A wood barbecue is available for informal meals, while private in-villa dining can be arranged to enjoy local wines and Tuscan specialties.
Location
Nestled between Montalcino and Siena, the borgo is perfectly placed for exploring the UNESCO-listed Orcia Valley. Nearby villages such as Buonconvento provide charming streets, local shops, and excellent restaurants. The area is ideal for wine tasting, hiking, or simply soaking up the iconic Tuscan landscape.
Additional Services (upon request)
Guests can enjoy private wine tastings within the estate’s cantina, take part in yoga sessions in a dedicated shala, or arrange tailored in-villa dining experiences. The estate itself produces organic wines, cereals, and D.O.P. extra virgin olive oil, offering a true taste of Tuscany.
