N° 063 | Frescoes from 1800
In the heart of Tuscany's Montisi, a quaint village nestled within the Val d'Orcia, you will find a 500-year-old house turned rural retreat. Bought by Idoia and Marco who fell in love with the place, the moment they set foot inside, and honestly, it is clear why:
The house, with roots dating back to the 14th century, was restored with love and authenticity. Its walls tell stories through frescoes from the 1800s and original terrazzo floors from the 1930s. This historical abode offers an enchanting stay with five unique bedrooms and communal spaces that preserve the whispers of the past. Step into this living story where each room narrates its own tale.
The space at this thoughtfully designed house is a sanctuary for relaxation and inspiration. Guests will find a fully equipped kitchen that provides both convenience and flexibility for preparing meals. The adjacent dining room creates a welcoming environment for shared meals and lively conversations, allowing for the creation of cherished moments with loved ones.
The living area is a haven of relaxation and creativity, featuring a library that beckons guests to lose themselves in captivating books. Additionally, there's a cozy lounge graced with a fireplace and a dedicated writing desk, perfect for moments of quiet reflection and creative pursuits. These inviting common areas are meticulously designed to set the stage for relaxation and inspiring conversations with fellow guests, or for enjoying a film on the smart TV.
Stepping outside, guests are greeted by a spacious garden, a tranquil oasis that invites unwinding amidst the beauty of nature. Whether you're seeking shade under the pergola while savoring delicious meals or engaging in captivating conversations, the garden offers the perfect setting for relaxation.
The garden further provides the opportunity to delight in a barbecue experience enhanced by the soothing sounds of the countryside, making for a memorable stay.

It is a delight to stay in this beautiful, historic home! Staying here comes with all the modern comfort except for a few things. In order to preserve the genuine historicity of the property, there are no lifts, stairlifts, swimming pool, or air conditioning. This might present some inconveniences, but everything is dedicated to ensuring your comfort during your stay.
The house has been built in such a way that it benefits from natural air-conditioning. This is achieved through ancient building design: thick walls, smaller windows, the use of shutters, and the airflow through the property. When shutters are closed during the day and opened at the end of the day, the temperature inside remains most agreeable.
