N° 068 | Italian Cassina

users 10 bed 6 bath 2

It all started with a dream…. of a beach house in Spain and ended with a dream property in Piemonte. Trine, Terje, Isabell, and Kayla are a lovely family from Norway. They have a passion for renovation projects and in all their projects there is a deep respect for tradition and the preservation of what has been, the farm in Piemonte is no exception.

Just before the pandemic, they visited friends in Piemonte and immediately fell in love with the area. Their plans of buying a beach property in Spain directly went out of the window and they started searching for their next renovation project in Italy instead. They must have looked at 60-70 properties but the one they ended up buying, they had never seen. By that time the pandemic was in full swing and the travel ban was firmly set in place. With the help of a local estate agent, they were able to secure the property and the planning of the renovation could start.

To make a long story short, after two years of renovating every nook and cranny, with the help of Italian craftsmen along the way, a stunning place has been created. The farm is an old classic Italian Cassina built around 1920 and is located in a hilly position with a fantastic view over the valley and the charming city of Nizza Monferrato

The Space

The kitchen is built in what was originally the stable, where they used to keep their animals. Therefore, the kitchen is the largest room in the house, with space for 12 people around the table. It also features a wine cellar and an activity room with table tennis, weights, and Fuzzball. The house has a fantastic garden with a swimming pool, lovely outdoor areas, and a magical view. The garden also has its own Petanque court.

There are 4 beautifully decorated bedrooms, 3 with king-size beds, one of the bedrooms has a connecting room with bunk beds, making it ideal as a family room (the 4th bedroom). As the villa sits on top of a hill we just would like to point out to our potential guests that the garden on one side has a steep slope. The slope is however protected by a fence.

10 Guests | 6 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms

Extra Services

Pick up and drop off at the airport (Milano, Torino, or Bergamo), Driver with own car, Wine tasting, Winemakers dinner at the house, Chef's dinner.

The Villa is located on the outskirts of Vaglio Serra, close to Nizza Monferrato. Food, wine, or culture - it all starts here.  Experience the fantastic church in Fontanile, the thermal springs in Acqui Terme, rent a Vespa scooter and experience the villages of Barolo, take a trip to Barbaresco with the famous Torre di Barbaresco, visit the market in Alba on a Saturday, visit one of the many vineyards open to the public, the antique market in Nizza the third Sunday every month, the list goes on and everything is within a 30-40 minute drive. Piemonte has it all!
