Overlooking the Canale della Sensa in Cannaregio, this 110 m² apartment occupies the second floor of a historic Venetian townhouse. Its interiors combine Venetian terrazzo, lime-washed walls and contemporary design, with carefully chosen lighting, handcrafted ceramics and a palette of soft, natural colours.
It is a place for four guests who appreciate thoughtful interiors and want to experience Venice from one of its quieter neighbourhoods.
The Space
The apartment has its own kitchenette by Valcucine and a separate library and TV room, where a collection of books and records can be enjoyed on a Lenco turntable.
The design is considered throughout. Sculptural lighting by Vibia and carefully selected furniture and objects sit comfortably alongside the building's Venetian character. Rather than relying on elaborate decoration, the interiors make use of materials, light and a restrained mix of colours.
The Rooms
There are two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and an eco-friendly Simmons Natural Heritage bed.
One is finished in a soft Tiepolo rose shade. The other is known as the Fortuny room, named after the Saracen Shield lamp that illuminates the space. Both continue the apartment's understated approach to colour and design.
Location
The apartment is in Cannaregio, a neighbourhood where Venice's everyday life continues alongside its historic landmarks. The Jewish Ghetto and the Church of Madonna dell’Orto are nearby, while Murano lies across the water.
The Canale della Sensa runs directly in front of the townhouse, its appearance changing with the light and the tide. The nearest vaporetto stop is a five-minute walk away, making it easy to explore the rest of Venice, including the Art and Architecture Biennale.
