Little Gem No. 100 | Soulful Foodie's Escape

Italy > Puglia

Luceri is a place to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, with the land, and with the joy of sharing food and time together. Tucked away in the serene countryside of Ostuni, Trullo Luceri is the embodiment of simplicity, design, and soulful food. Created by the Luceri brothers, Luca and Fabio, the property reflects their shared passion for hospitality, nature, and food. Fabio, a gastronome, curates culinary experiences that celebrate the Apulian land with instinct and heartfelt passion.

"Luceri is a place to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, with the land, and with the joy of sharing food and time together."

Trullo Luceri is the result of a collaboration between Opus Atelier, responsible for the architectural and interior design, and EFFE Studio, who oversaw hospitality consulting and creative strategy — from branding to digital communication. The result is a retreat where local craftsmanship meets bold minimalism, balancing beauty, comfort, and a deep sense of place.

The Space

Trullo Luceri is composed of two distinct stays—the Trullo and the Lamia—and a central outdoor area. The spaces are thoughtfully crafted with minimal, handcrafted details, creating a calm and luminous environment where guests can fully relax and reconnect.

The property comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests (4 adults + 1–2 children), with flexible arrangements including sofa beds and private bathrooms.

Bedrooms

The Trullo: Main bedroom with private bathroom, plus a cozy living room with a sofa bed (suitable for one adult or two children). The bedroom and living room are connected yet separated for privacy.

The Lamia: An additional private bedroom with en-suite bathroom, ideal for two guests seeking quiet and tranquility.

Every bedroom is designed with clean lines, natural fabrics, and a quiet sense of harmony, allowing the light and landscape of Puglia to flow through.

Outdoor Area

At the heart of the house is the outdoors, where life naturally slows down and moments are shared. Imagine preparing a meal together in the fully equipped kitchen, then gathering under the warm Apulian sky to enjoy it at the long dining table, laughter and conversation flowing freely. The beautifully designed pool invites you for a refreshing swim, a leisurely sunbathe, or an aperitivo as the golden light of the evening settles over the landscape. Surrounding the space, the gardens stretch gently into the countryside, a quiet, fragrant backdrop that encourages lingering, connection, and the kind of memories that stay with you long after you leave.

Location: Ostuni & Surroundings

Luceri is tucked away in Contrada Paradiso, a quiet, soulful corner of the Apulian countryside. Just a short drive brings you to Ostuni or Ceglie Messapica, where winding streets, artisan shops, and colorful markets invite you to linger. Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve is only half an hour away—perfect for a morning walk, a swim, or a moment of calm. The Adriatic beaches are close enough for a sun-drenched afternoon, while the surrounding olive groves and fields make every cycle, stroll, or quiet pause feel like a true escape. Here, the light is warm, the pace slow, and the countryside somehow invites you to breathe, linger, and just be.

What Makes It Special

What I love about Trullo Luceri is how every corner feels considered and personal. The design blends the best of local craftsmanship with a quiet, modern minimalism that makes the space feel both timeless and effortless. It’s really a family story—Luca and Fabio have poured their vision of light, warmth, and genuine hospitality into every detail. At Trullo Luceri, food isn’t just part of the stay — it’s at the heart of the experience. Fabio brings people together around the outdoor kitchen, where meals become moments of connection. Cooking here feels spontaneous and joyful — guided by what’s in season, what’s grown nearby, and the Apulian spirit of sharing. Every dish tells a story of place and season, crafted with care and a touch of creativity. Whether it’s a long lunch under the olive trees or dinner by candlelight, these gatherings capture the true essence of Luceri: simple, soulful, and deeply human.
