A Tuscan Retreat Where Art, Nature, and Culture Unite

In the rolling hills of Tuscany, between Pisa and Florence, lies a place unlike any other—a retreat that blends art, nature, and hospitality in perfect harmony. Spanning 500 hectares of pristine woodland, vineyards, olive groves, and organic gardens, this estate is more than just a destination; it is an ever-evolving creative and cultural haven.

At the heart of the property stands a stunning 19th-century villa, originally built for an Italian aristocratic family. Over time, the estate fell into disrepair until it was rediscovered by Lena Evstafieva and her family. Drawn to its beauty and history, Lena, alongside her husband, musician Jérôme Hadey, and their friend, Parisian nightclub owner Lionel Bensemoun, saw its potential to become something extraordinary.

With backgrounds in art, music, and hospitality, they envisioned a space where artists and travelers could come together in an inspiring environment. From this vision, they created a one-of-a-kind retreat that serves as both a boutique hotel and a not-for-profit artist residency—where creativity is nurtured, and the spirit of Tuscany comes alive.

A Stay That Inspires

A visit here is not just a getaway—it’s an experience. The estate hosts a vibrant artist-in-residence program, welcoming painters, sculptors, writers, and musicians from around the world. These artists don’t just stay; they contribute, by offering workshops, talks, and open studio visits that enrich the atmosphere. Guests may find themselves learning to paint, taking a poetry class, or watching a musician perform under the stars.

Accommodations are spread across beautifully restored farmhouses, former stables, and hunting lodges. Each space is designed with care, blending minimalist elegance with Tuscan tradition. Antique furniture has been repurposed, beds are crafted for both style and practicality, and hand-printed fabrics bring warmth and character to every room. For those seeking privacy, standalone villas with private pools offer the ultimate retreat.

An Estate Rooted in Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of life here. The estate follows biodynamic farming principles, ensuring that everything—from the vegetables served in the restaurant to the wine produced in the vineyard—is cultivated with care for the land. Olive groves yield over 600 liters of extra-virgin olive oil each year, while Sangiovese vines produce exquisite wines.

A closed-loop farming system means that organic matter is returned to the soil, food waste is composted, and rainwater is harvested. More than 65% of the estate is powered by renewable energy, with solar panels and air pumps reducing the environmental footprint. Even the interiors reflect a commitment to sustainability, with antique furniture restored and decor sourced from local artisans.

A Home for Creativity, Community, and Culture

More than just a hotel, this is a space where creativity thrives. Every corner of the estate tells a story—from the art-filled main villa to the sun-drenched poolside terraces where guests gather over glasses of house-made rosé. The energy here is electric yet peaceful, a place where candlelit concerts and late-night conversations blend seamlessly with the tranquility of nature.

Lena Evstafieva’s vision was never about simply creating a beautiful place to stay. It was about building a community, a home for artists and travelers alike. Whether you come to be inspired, to relax, or to explore the richness of Tuscany, you’ll leave with more than just memories—you’ll leave with a piece of this extraordinary place in your heart.

The Rooms

Previously serving as the estate’s stables, the Fattoria building now houses 12 luxurious rooms within the reception and events space, just a short stroll from the 19th-century villa. Thoughtfully renovated to embody the estate’s signature blend of old and new, each room is uniquely designed, featuring grand high-beamed ceilings, elegant oak floors, and opulent marble bathrooms—timeless elements that define classic Tuscan charm

Two Villas

Two villas on the estate offer a serene and authentic Tuscan retreat, with full access to the estate’s amenities. Nestled within a private gated compound, these charming villas provide the perfect escape for families and groups seeking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Italian countryside.

One of the estate’s oldest residences, Maison Stento features five double bedrooms, vibrant décor, and spacious living areas designed for unforgettable gatherings. Nearby, Casetta Bella offers a tranquil three-bedroom haven, surrounded by picturesque cypress trees, olive groves, and woodlands.

Both villas share a backyard pool with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, creating an idyllic setting for relaxation and connection in the heart of Tuscany.

Apartments

A beautifully restored farmhouse embodies the charm of traditional Tuscan living with its original wood and stone elements. This intimate retreat features five thoughtfully designed apartments, each offering a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Set amidst picturesque woodlands, the farmhouse provides a tranquil escape while still being just a short 10-minute walk from the estate’s vibrant main hub. Guests can enjoy a large grassy lawn, a refreshing pool, and a playground, making it an ideal choice for families with children or anyone seeking a peaceful countryside retreat.

These thoughtfully designed two- and three-bedroom apartments offer a secluded retreat in nature while remaining within walking distance of the estate’s restaurant, creative workshops, and artists’ studios—allowing guests to feel like true residents of the villa. Days can be spent swimming and watching little ones play on the swingset before strolling across the front yard to explore the Galleria del Bosco art exhibitions.

Each family-friendly agriturismo apartment features a comfortable living space, a full bathroom, air conditioning throughout, and a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and induction stove. Designed with a warm palette of rustic earth tones, locally sourced custom furniture, and carefully curated works by artists in residence, the farmhouse blends a lived-in charm with contemporary elegance—like a home designed by a friend with impeccable taste and a commitment to sustainability.
