Overlooking the main square of Vieste’s marina, this exclusive palazzo by the sea set in the old town of Vieste is more than just a place to stay—it’s a tribute to the beauty of Puglia’s coastline and the magic of its historic towns. Owners Pasquale and Carmela De Candia fell in love with the essence of Vieste and set out to restore this historic building with care and vision. Their passion for design and natural materials shaped a space that feels both timeless and contemporary. Now, under the thoughtful management of a dedicated team, they welcome guests to experience this unique corner of the world.
The Space
With a contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic, it seamlessly blends history with modern comfort. The first floor houses two spacious rooms with balconies that open to stunning sea and piazza views. A bright, communal kitchen leads to a beautiful terrace where breakfast is served each morning and where guests can enjoy a coffee or aperitif throughout the day.
The second floor features two classic rooms overlooking the square and two superior rooms with breathtaking sea and lighthouse views. Each room, though varying in size, is designed with the same serene simplicity—stone, linen, oak, and handcrafted textiles create a soothing atmosphere that perfectly complements the coastal surroundings.
All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with a minimalist, spa-like design. Luxurious tapware, artisanal tiles, and walk-in rain showers add an element of understated indulgence. Natural materials and soft tones enhance the sense of calm, making each space a private retreat.
The Outdoor Area
Step onto the terrace and breathe in the fresh sea air. Overlooking the marina, this space is the heart of Tra Cielo e Mare, where guests gather for slow mornings and golden-hour drinks. Just a few meters away is the charming Marina Beach, where you can wade into the sea and take in the view of the lighthouse.
