Where sacred history and timeless celebrations meet

High in the hills above the Tiber Valley lies an extraordinary place—part sanctuary, part celebration space. This ancient estate, once a residence for monastic contemplation, has been lovingly transformed into a private retreat where weddings unfold beneath frescoed ceilings, under olive trees, and across gardens that stretch toward the Umbrian horizon.

Here, you may say your vows inside a consecrated XIII-century church—its quiet beauty elevated by centuries-old stone, filtered sunlight, and graceful symmetry—or in the landscaped gardens where cypress trees frame your ceremony like a Renaissance painting. Aperitivo takes place in the lemon garden, dinner is served by candlelight in the restaurant's herb-scented courtyard, and dancing continues in the warm intimacy of the wine cellars or under the stars.

There is no need to rush. The estate is rented by the week, giving you time to settle in with your closest friends and family—up to 20 guests can sleep across the villa and annex, both restored with a masterful balance of simplicity and grace. Mornings begin with espresso under the pergola or a slow dip in the pool. Evenings invite stargazing, long dinners, and laughter echoing between ancient walls.

The in-house team offers support with elegance and discretion, ensuring that every detail reflects the spirit of the place and your personal story. Catering is handled by the estate’s own kitchen, where Umbrian traditions are celebrated with seasonal produce, excellent wine, and a refined, unfussy touch.

What makes it so special

There’s something almost otherworldly about this place. Maybe it’s the way sunlight filters through the ancient church windows, or how the garden seems to open straight onto the Umbrian horizon. Once a quiet monastic retreat, the estate has held on to that sense of calm — but it now pairs it with celebration. It’s rare to find a venue where you can exchange vows in a consecrated XIII-century chapel, sip aperitivo in a lemon-scented garden, dine by candlelight under the stars, and dance barefoot in a centuries-old wine cellar — all in one long, joy-filled day.

But the real luxury here is time. You don’t need to rush. The estate is yours for the week, so you and your closest friends and family can settle in slowly — mornings by the pool, dinners under the pergola surroundedby  the olive groves. Everything is taken care of by a discreet in-house team who know the property like home and treat every wedding like it’s the only one.

It’s sacred and grounded, ancient and alive — a place where stories begin, unfold, and last.
